Important Information
Dismissal: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 2:10p.m. 

Wednesday a blue WEDNESDAY Folder  will be sent home with important information.  Please check the contents and sign and return any documents that need your signature.

  • Please have your child bring in a water bottle, daily.  We do not have a water fountain outside our classroom.  Having a water bottle, makes it easier for your child to get a drink more frequently, as it gets very hot during the day. Make sure you label their water bottle with a name, as they are all very similar looking. WATER ONLY, please.

What time will the classroom door be opened in the morning?
    First Bells rings at 7:50am
    Classroom door will open by 7:55am every morning.
    School starts at 8:00am. Please be prompt.
Lunch?
    Lunch is at 11:40am - 12.oppam
    Student lunch cost $2.35
    Adult lunch $5.50
Can we bring snack?
    Snacks are allowed at recess, to be eaten outside our class.
    Gum is not allowed on campus.
    Daniel K. Inouye Elementary School is a peanut free school.
Can I bring a treat to celebrate my child's birthday?
    Yes, birthday treats are welcomed. NO PEANUT PRODUCTS or           
    CUPCAKES  Healthy treats are suggested.  Treats will be shared
    1st (9:30am - 9:45am)  OR  2nd recess (12:30pm -12:45pm).
Can we pass out invitations in class?
    If you are planning a party outside of school, please do not send   
    invitations to be passed out in class unless everyone in the class is   
    invited. We want to prevent feelings from getting hurt.  Mahalo!
What if I am late picking up my child?
    If you are late picking up your child and the door is closed, your child          will be at the Office.
Homework?
    Homework will be assigned on Monday's for the Week. On Monday       
    homework. Completed homework is due on Thursday or Friday,
    depending on the week. Students place completed homework in the red
    file tray in the classroom.  I will grade and record homework.  If there
    are any pressing questions on the assignment, I will conference with
    student. 
What programs will we be using this year?
    Students will need access to a computer at home. Students will be
    responsible for on-line homework.  (e-mail me for passwords)
